This election year is big in the immigration debate. I hope that the effects of any legislation pass is fully comprehended by those in power.
Fact: Illegal Immigrants work in the U.S.
The solutions offered have not been cost effective or good for the American life.
Building a "Wall" is not cost effective and will only hinder illegals from coming over.
Kicking out all the illegal immigrants will hurt the economy, drive up housing prices and the price of fruits and vegetables.
Giving assylum to those already over here sends an improper message that you can break our laws and get away with it.
Another option is to fine employeers, which would likely lead to higher price goods, reduced inventories and loss of jobs for Americans.
Loss of immigrant workers would also drive many companies overseas where then can get labor to compete with price points that China and India can provide.
The American people need a solution they can stand behind but one has not been offered. Are we prepared to face the difficulties and rising prices that a labor shortage will bring?
